Tanzanian singer Abigail Chams will release her new song “Your Loss” on October 2, 2025. Abigail, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has emerged as one of East Africa’s most promising talents. She is signed to Sony Music Africa and is well-known for her genre-defying voice, which combines Bongo Flava, Afropop, and R&B.

“Your Loss” is a daring examination of loss and bravery. Abigail’s voice, layered over peppy Bongo Flava tunes, encapsulate the sad essence of love gone wrong, transforming agony into empowerment. The song not only validates her creativity, but also highlights her global significance as a female Tanzanian musician working on her own terms.

Abigail Chams is not just a musician. She is a UNICEF Youth Advocate, a mental health and gender equality campaigner, and the driving force behind The Talk With Abigail Chams, a youth program that promotes positive change. She is one of Tanzania’s youngest entrepreneurs, having founded the Abby Chams singing School and the Jean’d Up fashion company in addition to her singing career.
