Sir Bright Chimezie, the highlife music veteran and pioneer of the “Zigima Sound,” has recorded and presented his most recent track, “Ozongadi.”

Masterkraft created the thrilling tune, which was released on October 8, 2025. It continues the artist’s long history of utilizing music to impart lessons about everyday life and cultural values.

The highlife love song delicately addresses long-lasting love based on mutual respect and harmony. Chimezie’s calm and assured voice is supported by a smooth, danceable beat, which leads listeners through his picture of a successful partnership.

“Ozongadi” comes after the veteran musician’s recent surge in popularity. In 2025, Afrobeats musician Davido cited Chimezie’s song “Because of English” as inspiration for one of his successful tracks, generating renewed interest in the highlife icon’s oeuvre.

Finally, this resulted in a new arrangement with Sony Music Publishing that would reintroduce his huge repertoire to a global audience.
