Global Outage Disrupts X, Millions of Users Unable to Access Platform
X, the social media network formerly known as Twitter, experienced a widespread service disruption on Tuesday, with users across multiple countries reporting difficulty accessing the platform.
Both the website and mobile application were affected, as timelines failed to load and accounts could not be refreshed. Instead of the usual stream of posts, many users were met only with the company’s logo displayed on their screens.
The outage began early Tuesday and appeared to have a global impact, preventing millions from logging in or interacting with content in real time.
Data from outage-monitoring service Down Detector indicated a surge in complaints from users worldwide, suggesting the disruption was not limited to a specific region.
